What was originally an eight-night stint at Las Vegas' Sphere has now increased to 36. Ahead of what was supposed to be the last four shows of the residency, Eagles announced an additional four nights in September. The residency is part of the band's "Long Goodbye" farewell tour, which is definitely living up to its name.
Longtime guitarist Steuart Smith recently decided to "bow out" of performing duties after a concerning medical diagnosis. “It is with profound regret that, due to performance issues associated with my diagnosed Parkinsonism, I find that I much bow out of my role with the Eagles while I can still do so gracefully,” Smith shared in a statement. “It’s been a great quarter of a century and I had hoped to be able to finish out this year with the band, but I must now do what’s best for all concerned."
The group’s current lineup features Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit, with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey. See Eagles' residency dates below (new dates are bolded).
