Billy Corgan and his wife Chloé Mendel Corgan have welcomed their third child! The Smashing Pumpkins frontman announced the news to People, revealing the baby is a girl named Juno. She was born in "the wee hours" of March 18 at the couple's home in Highland Park, Illinois, weighing 9.9 lbs and measuring 22 inches.
"My wife, Chloé is doing well and recovering, and baby Juno is happy, healthy, and nursing with gusto," Corgan told People. "We are so touched by all the kind wishes of support and love, and thank those who helped Chloé and baby have such a safe, and peaceful, home birth."
"The kids are absolutely thrilled by their new sister, and being 9 (Augustus) and 6 (Philomena) they can’t wait till she’s old enough to play,"
Corgan, 58, and Mendel, 32, began dating in 2012 and got engaged in 2022. They tied the knot in 2023 and revealed they were expecting their third child in August 2024. See a photo of baby Juno below.
Speaking of siblings, Corgan recently gave his honest opinion about comedian Bill Burr potentially being his half-brother.
“People I know for 20, 30 years have been asking me what I think,” he explained in an interview. “I said I don’t know, but I don’t think we’re related. There’s a resemblance but I don’t think we’re related. They’re like, ‘did you get a DNA test?’ and I said there’s no reason to but they’d say ‘well I think he’s your brother.'”
