Before Ozzy Osbourne passed away he got to finish a great many things, including another memoir, a historic final concert and worked with some of the best musicians of all time on his final album.
Back in 2022 Ozzy released, Patient Number 9, his thirteenth album, which featured an All-Star lineup, of the late Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready, and Guns ‘N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagen.
The album was produced by Andrew Watt and won Best Rock Album at the Grammy’s. Sharon Osbourne opened the studio doors for a documentary of the making of the album which was posted on Ozzy’s YouTube channel.
With each episode Ozzy and the musicians that came together to create it are interviewed about working with The Prince Of Darkness and coming together to make such a historic album.
The album was Ozzy’s final solo album, however Ozzy did say that he was in the studio last year working on 'one more album', so we may still get new music in the future.
