The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Fire Weather Warning for the inland valleys and mountain areas of San Diego County from 4 p.m. Monday till 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Forecasters say Santa Ana winds of 20-30 mph are expected with gusts of up to 55 mph. Humidity levels will be as low as 10-percent.
The Red Flag Warnings also are in effect in the Los Angeles County other areas north and east of L-A meaning conditions are favorable for wildfire development.
In a Sunday update from the Los Angeles County medical examiner, the death toll from the fires has increased to at least 24 people with at least 16 others who remain missing or unaccounted for.
